Diving History: John Pears

In 1997 he moved to Mozambique, where together with Nikki Telle (NAUI Instructor #36812 and PADI instructor ( 625142 ) he started Barra Lodge Dive Charters. In 1999 they started Tofo Scuba at Casa Barry in Tofo, Inhambane and ran both operations successfully until January 2002 when they sold Barra Lodge Dive Charters and concentrated on building Tofo Scuba as Tofo has a far greater reef diversity.

John completed his PADI instructors course in September 2002 and is still teaching diving and specializing in diving with Manta Rays at Tofo Scuba.
